Pudu Robotics and its regional distributor Robobee have formed a partnership with Swiss discount supermarket chain Denner to deploy 200 PUDU CC1 cleaning robots across Denner’s store network. Denner, a subsidiary of Migros Group, began the rollout in fall 2025 after a pilot involving four branches. The deployment is part of the retailer’s modernization program and is intended to support store cleaning operations as the company expands its fresh produce categories.
The PUDU CC1 is a four-in-one autonomous cleaning robot designed for tasks including floor maintenance in commercial environments. Denner said the robots are intended to assist employees rather than replace them, allowing staff to spend more time on customer service and product-related work.
Pudu Robotics Chief Executive Felix Zhang said the project followed Denner’s need to maintain hygiene standards while reducing daily cleaning demands on store teams. Robobee Chief Executive Dario Himmelsbach said the company supported the rollout through project coordination, staff training and technical maintenance.
Christian Staub, head of sales at Denner, said hygiene and cleanliness remain priorities in supermarket operations. Denner manager Nihad Zoronjic cited the CC1’s build quality, engineering and autonomous capabilities as factors in the retailer’s selection of the system.
Pudu Robotics said the CC1 can clean up to 2,000 square meters using 15 liters of water and supports real-time monitoring, automated scheduling and autonomous operation. The company also offers other cleaning robot lines, including the MT1 and BG1 series, for larger commercial and industrial environments.
