AGIBOT, in partnership with Indonesian AI accelerator ASIX, presented its flagship humanoid robot at a cultural event in Jakarta this week. The demonstration covered several capabilities, including event hosting, interactive visitor engagement, traditional dance performance, and collaborative calligraphy with a local artist. Together, the robot and artist inscribed the phrase “Tea for Harmony,” illustrating the potential for humanoid systems to operate meaningfully within cultural contexts.
The event served a dual purpose: showcasing technical capability while reinforcing AGIBOT’s commitment to culturally sensitive market entry. Rather than a standard product launch, the company positioned the robot as a cultural participant, a deliberate strategy as it looks to build credibility with Indonesian partners and consumers.
Abel Deng, President of the Middle East and Asia Pacific at AGIBOT, underscored the commercial ambition behind the occasion. “Today’s momentum is an important step for AGIBOT in Indonesia. Together with ASIX, we are bringing a more advanced embodied AI productivity solution to the Indonesian market,” he said. “This year marks an important development because our technology is ready for widespread application.”
Beyond cultural and entertainment applications, AGIBOT and ASIX have outlined a broad deployment roadmap for the Indonesian market. Target sectors include industrial production line support, material handling, logistics sorting, guided services, retail assistance, commercial service stations, security patrols and inspections, and commercial cleaning — reflecting a productivity-first commercial strategy.
AGIBOT’s humanoid systems are built on a “One Body, Three Intelligences” architecture, integrating interactive intelligence, task intelligence, and movement intelligence into a single platform. As of March 2026, the company’s global production volume has exceeded 10,000 units, indicating meaningful manufacturing scale ahead of its Southeast Asian expansion. The Jakarta event is the beginning of AGIBOT’s formal strategic push into Indonesia, with ASIX serving as the local commercial partner to support deployment across multiple sectors.
