AGIBOT has produced its 15,000th robot, with the latest unit identified as the AGIBOT G2, an embodied task robot designed for industrial operating environments The Shanghai-based robotics company said it has increased cumulative production from 5,000 units to 15,000 units following earlier stages of product validation and batch manufacturing. Founded in February 2023, AGIBOT previously reported that production rose from 1,000 to 5,000 units over approximately one year, while the increase from 5,000 to 10,000 units took three months.
AGIBOT attributed the production expansion to the development of standardized supply chains, manufacturing processes, quality-control systems and delivery procedures. Its production operations include component sourcing, robot assembly, testing, software and hardware integration, and preparation for deployment at customer sites.
The company said the G2 has also been tested in a consumer electronics manufacturing environment. The robot completed about 100 cumulative hours of livestreamed factory operations in late June, working in a tablet quality-inspection section alongside production-line employees.
“The rollout of our 15,000th robot is not only an important milestone in AGIBOT’s mass production and engineering delivery capabilities, but also a reflection of the broader industry’s move toward scaled deployment in real-world settings,” said Yao Maoqing, AGIBOT partner, senior vice president and president of its embodied AI business unit.
Market research firm Omdia previously estimated that AGIBOT shipped 5,168 humanoid robots in 2025, representing 39% of the global market. The production figure disclosed by AGIBOT covers its broader robot output and does not indicate how many of the 15,000 units have been delivered to customers or deployed in operating environments.
