by Pieter Werner

Taiwan Excellence will introduce 15 Taiwanese technology brands at AUTOMATE 2025, North America’s largest automation exhibition, which will be held from May 12 to May 15 at Huntington Place in Detroit. The Taiwan Excellence exhibit, themed “Advancing Robotics with Taiwanese Precision,” will highlight developments in robotics and AIoT solutions designed to enhance competitiveness and support the advancement of robotics technologies.

Featured smart manufacturing technologies include collaborative robots with integrated AI vision, high-sensitivity safety skins for robots, CNC manufacturing robotics systems, strain wave gear technologies for precision motion, and multi-axis systems for synchronized automation. Speakers at the launch event will include Francine Chu, regional sales manager of TECHMAN ROBOT; Nephel Lo, deputy director of Touché Solutions; Otis Siah, global director of SYNTEC; Doug Kiernan, director Americas of TOYO ROBOT; and Andy Grossmeier, sales engineer of HIWIN.

In line with U.S. government initiatives to encourage domestic manufacturing, Taiwan Excellence and its participating brands are seeking collaborations with American partners. These efforts aim to support the growth of advanced manufacturing and strengthen supply chains in the United States by leveraging Taiwan’s expertise in robotics, precision engineering, and smart automation. Alongside the presenting companies, Taiwan Excellence will also feature products from additional award-winning brands, including AAEON, APLEX, FATEK, JUMBO LASER, LEANTEC, MiTAC, Novakon, PLANET, TBI MOTION, and Transcend.

Taiwan Excellence Awards, established by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs in 1993, recognize products based on R&D, design, quality, and marketing excellence. The awards are internationally trademarked and promoted in 106 countries and regions. The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at AUTOMATE 2025 is organized by the Taiwan International Trade Administration (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)
