Legend Robot plans to showcase an autonomous latex paint and putty spraying robot at BATIMAT 2026 in Paris in partnership with ROBOSWISS AG, as the company seeks to expand the use of automated finishing equipment in European construction projects.
The system is designed to comply with European Union CE requirements and uses automated spraying, sensing and path-planning technologies for interior finishing work. Legend Robot said the equipment is intended to reduce manual intervention in painting and putty application while operating across different building layouts.
The company cited a renovation project for Gnosis Investments Group in Athens, Greece, where its robots were used for wall finishing across 19 room layouts. According to Legend Robot, the equipment reached a peak spraying output of 237 square metres per hour and completed two- and three-coat latex applications while adjusting for variations in wall surfaces.
Legend Robot also said the system reduced material waste by as much as 15% during operations. The equipment was powered using direct electrical stabilization during the renovation project.
At BATIMAT 2026, the company plans to present further development work focused on increasing the autonomy of its construction robots. Its technology roadmap includes models that use real-time jobsite data to adjust spraying trajectories, operating speed and distance from surfaces.
Legend Robot is targeting a 30% productivity improvement compared with its third-generation machines through these developments. The planned system also incorporates sensors designed to identify structural beams, utility conduits and other obstacles and to adjust spray paths during operation.
The company is also combining 3D spatial scanning with algorithmic path planning to allow its robots to map construction environments and adapt their movements to changes in site geometry.
“Across Europe, we prove that true jobsite autonomy, high efficiency, and eco-friendly standards can coexist seamlessly on modern European construction projects,” said Jason Liang, marketing director at Legend Robot.
