CargoTech will focus more on artificial intelligence in air cargo, outlining a series of AI-driven product updates and new services planned for 2026. The initiative builds on AI-related launches introduced in 2025 and reflects a broader strategy to accelerate digitalisation across cargo operations.
According to the company, 2026 will see the rollout of nine new products and services with AI capabilities embedded. These include further development of agent-based AI tools, as well as the expansion of data-focused services designed to support faster and more practical AI adoption within cargo organisations. CargoTech positions these offerings as directly implementable solutions, aimed at helping companies structure and digitise operational data so it can be effectively used by AI systems.
One of the central themes is the use of so-called agentic AI, where AI systems operate alongside human staff rather than replacing them. In this model, AI agents support tasks such as service offerings and decision support, while remaining integrated into existing workflows. CargoTech indicates that this approach is intended to lower barriers to adoption by fitting AI into current cargo business processes.
Data readiness is presented as a key prerequisite for successful AI use in air cargo. Through its Data Services activities, CargoTech aims to help customers quickly assess how their internal data should be organised and digitised to enable AI-driven optimisation. These services are positioned as complementary to the group’s advisory offerings, which focus on defining mid- to long-term digital transformation strategies.
CargoTech emphasises that its AI development is rooted in cargo-specific use cases, rather than adaptations of passenger aviation or generic enterprise software. The company states that its software and models are developed by teams with operational air cargo experience, reflecting the distinct characteristics of cargo networks, capacity management, and demand variability.
With airlines, forwarders, ground handlers and shippers among its customer base, CargoTech reports growing use of its digital platforms across the air cargo ecosystem. The company expects AI to play an increasingly central role in improving operational efficiency, decision-making and transparency, as air cargo operators continue to invest in digital transformation during 2026 and beyond.
