Cboost showcases autonomous railway robot at Vision, Robotics & Motion 2025

by Marco van der Hoeven

One of the most eye-catching—and certainly the largest—installations at Vision, Robotics & Motion 2025 was the autonomous railway maintenance robot presented at the Cboost stand. This robot is specifically designed to detect and (de)mount bolts and clips on railway tracks without human intervention. It replaces a traditionally manual task, often requiring full track closures, with a more efficient, safer, and autonomous process.

The system uses lidar technology to map its surroundings and control a dynamic robotic mechanism that performs the fastening and unfastening operations. In this video, the Rocking Robots team speaks with Daniël Telgen, CEO of Cboost, about the use of robotics to innovate complex industrial processes. Cboost’s vision is to deliver fully customized automation solutions for challenges that fall outside conventional standards. “If you’re looking for a solution that doesn’t exist yet, Cboost is the agency that can make it happen,” says Telgen.
