Chinese manufacturer Chery Group, through its brands OMODA and JAECOO, has commenced the global delivery of its AiMOGA humanoid robot. During a ceremony held at Chery International Park in Mexico City on May 2, 2025, the company delivered 220 units to distributors and partners in more than 30 countries.
AiMOGA was developed using Chery’s technologies in autonomous driving, sensor systems, intelligent cockpit interfaces, and natural language processing. The robot integrates visual, auditory, and spatial sensors, allowing it to interpret speech, gestures, and environmental data. It is designed to perform functions such as guiding visitors, assisting with reservations, and serving beverages.

The robot is already deployed in at least one dealership in Malaysia, where it operates as a sales assistant. AiMOGA also appeared at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, providing demonstrations to visitors from over 40 countries.
According to Chery, the robot was developed using a “scenario-defined technology” approach intended for practical applications. It has 41 degrees of freedom, can walk at a speed of one meter per second, and its interaction capabilities are supported by language models from DeepSeek.
The company outlined a three-phase deployment plan: initial use in retail environments, followed by expansion to public service areas such as supermarkets and government offices, and later integration into home settings.
The global delivery event also coincided with Chery’s broader product and brand announcements at the Shanghai Auto Show, where the group introduced new energy vehicle models and two new sub-brands, ICAR and Lepas.
