Delta’s D-Bot series of collaborative robots has received the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2026, which recognizes work in architecture, product design and industrial design. The D-Bot range consists of six six-axis models with payload capacities of up to 30 kilograms and reach distances of up to 1,800 millimetres. The robots support OPC UA, PROFINET, EtherCAT and Modbus TCP communication protocols, allowing them to be integrated into industrial automation systems.
Delta introduced the series publicly in spring 2024. The robots are designed to operate alongside employees in manufacturing environments and use the company’s Reflex Safety technology to detect contact and stop movement. The systems also include sensing and collision-detection functions intended to reduce risks to workers and equipment.
The D-Bot models comply with the IP66 protection standard, providing resistance to dust and water ingress. Delta said the design is intended to simplify cleaning and maintenance in industrial settings.
The robots can also be combined with Delta’s mobile autonomous robot platform to create a system called the Delta Dynamic Duo. The configuration is designed to perform transportation and handling tasks, including palletising and pick-and-place operations, in manufacturing and logistics facilities.
Other intended applications include component assembly, material handling and heavy-load palletising.
Michael Mayer-Rosa, senior director of Delta’s Industrial Automation Business Group and head of Intelligent Robot Systems in the EMEA region, said the award reflected the company’s focus on combining industrial robotics with practical, safe and efficient product design.
