EngineAI Starts Production of T800 Humanoid Robots at Shenzhen Factory

by Marco van der Hoeven

EngineAI Robotics has opened an intelligent manufacturing base in Honghualing, Shenzhen, and begun production deliveries of its T800 full-size humanoid robots. The facility covers about 12,000 square meters and is designed to support inspection, component assembly testing, final assembly, end-of-line testing, shipment and after-sales maintenance. The company said the site can produce one humanoid robot every 15 minutes and is intended to support delivery capacity at the scale of 10,000 units.

The T800 is EngineAI’s flagship full-size humanoid robot, designed for high-dynamic and heavy-duty operating environments. The first batch of units has rolled off the production line and is moving into mass delivery. EngineAI said its manufacturing process includes supply-chain quality control, automated production processes, digital traceability and testing before delivery. According to the company, each robot undergoes 79 quality inspections and 46 working-condition simulation tests before shipment. The company also said automated locking, gluing and laser welding equipment has increased production efficiency by 40%.

“From our first test machine in 2024, to the small-scale production of hundreds of PM01 units in 2025, and now to the qualitative leap toward a 10,000-unit delivery capability, we are entering a new phase of industrialization and commercialization,” said Zhao Tongyang, founder and chief executive of EngineAI. “By building a manufacturing system centered on quality, efficiency, and intelligent production, we have accelerated our journey from pilot production to mass manufacturing and from zero to scale.” EngineAI said it is building a multi-region manufacturing network that includes Shenzhen and Henan. Ren Guowen, co-founder of EngineAI, said the network is intended to improve capacity allocation and market response as the company expands.
