FANUC Corporation has been included in Clarivate Plc’s list of the “Top 100 Global Innovators 2026,” marking the company’s seventh overall and fifth consecutive appearance in the annual ranking. Clarivate, a global provider of data and analytics on innovation, identifies organizations with strong intellectual property portfolios based on proprietary patent data.
The selection process evaluates factors such as patent volume, influence, success rate, and globalization. Clarivate stated that this year’s recognized companies represent about 16% of high-intensity AI-related inventions, reflecting the growing role of artificial intelligence in global innovation.
FANUC focuses its business on industrial automation and has continued to invest in research and development to strengthen its product competitiveness. The company promotes patent filings worldwide to build and enhance its intellectual property portfolio.
According to a survey by the Japan Patent Office, FANUC ranked 18th in Japan for AI-related patent filings in the previous year. The company has applied AI technologies across its product lines, including numerical control devices and robot control systems.
