Genesis AI has introduced Eno, its first general-purpose robot, as part of the company’s effort to combine artificial intelligence and robotics hardware into a single platform designed for use across industrial, commercial and, eventually, consumer environments.
The robot is built around the company’s robotics foundation model, GENE, which Genesis AI describes as an AI system designed to enable robots to perform complex tasks, adapt to changing conditions and manage multi-step workflows. The company said Eno was developed alongside GENE so that the software and hardware function as an integrated system.
Unlike humanoid robots designed to closely resemble people, Eno features a minimalist design focused on mobility and functionality. The system consists of a wheeled base and an adjustable vertical structure that can change height and reach during operation and fold for storage when not in use. The robot is equipped with dexterous robotic hands developed by Genesis AI that are intended to interact with tools and environments designed for human use.
According to the company, Eno is intended to operate in a range of settings including factories, laboratories, hospitals and homes. Genesis AI said the robot is designed to perform tasks requiring manipulation and coordination while managing longer workflows rather than executing only pre-programmed actions.
The company also plans to offer an optional version of Eno equipped with a display that shows the robot’s operational status, intentions and reasoning processes in real time. Genesis AI said the feature is intended to improve transparency during interactions between people and robots.
Genesis AI said it expects to begin production and targeted customer deployments of Eno by the end of 2026. Initial deployments are planned for industrial customers in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics and laboratory operations. The company said it expects to expand deployments later to service industries including hospitality and healthcare before pursuing consumer applications. Genesis AI has raised $105 million in seed funding. Investors include Eclipse, Khosla Ventures, Bpifrance and HSG, as well as individuals including Eric Schmidt, Xavier Niel, Daniela Rus and Vladlen Koltun.
