Hai Robotics and FORTNA Partner for Warehouse Solutions

by Pieter Werner

FORTNA and Hai Robotics have announced a partnership aimed at enhancing warehouse automation capabilities through the integration of Hai Robotics’ HaiPick automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) into FORTNA’s portfolio. The collaboration introduces the HaiPick Climb system, designed to optimize inventory storage, order picking, and fulfillment while requiring minimal infrastructure modifications.

FORTNA’s consultative approach to automation solutions, combined with Hai Robotics’ AS/RS technology, seeks to address operational challenges by improving efficiency, reducing implementation costs, and increasing adoption of automated systems. According to Rob McKeel, CEO of FORTNA, the partnership aligns with the company’s goal of delivering tailored automation and intelligent software solutions to e-commerce and omnichannel warehouses.

HaiPick Climb, which will be showcased at FORTNA’s booths at LogiMAT and ProMat, differs from aisle-based AS/RS by attaching to one side of standard racking, allowing access from both sides of narrow aisles and reducing installation costs. The system aims to improve tote delivery to workstations while optimizing storage footprint.

Hai Robotics CEO Richie Chen emphasized that FORTNA’s expertise in warehouse and distribution solutions makes it an ideal partner in helping businesses optimize storage and efficiency. Ron Egan, Vice President at FORTNA, highlighted the HaiPick Climb as an example of AS/RS innovation that aligns with evolving fulfillment center needs.
