Realbotix announced it will present its AI-powered humanoid robot, Aria, in New York City’s Times Square as part of the opening of tm:rw’s first freestanding storefront. The launch event is scheduled for September 25, 2025, at 220 W. 42nd Street.
Aria, described by the company as a full-bodied conversational robot, will serve as a greeter and brand ambassador for tm:rw, interacting with visitors in real time and offering multilingual assistance. The installation is intended to demonstrate the potential for humanoid robots in customer-facing retail environments, particularly in locations with high tourist traffic such as Times Square, which attracts millions of visitors annually.
The collaboration marks the introduction of Realbotix’s technology in a U.S. retail setting. Nathalie Bernce, founder of tm:rw, said the partnership is aimed at integrating robotics into daily consumer experiences. Realbotix chief executive Andrew Kiguel stated that the project is designed to illustrate how humanoid robots can provide value to retailers and brands, as well as to highlight the scalability of the company’s technology in commercial environments.
