‘Humanoid Robot Market to Reach $50.27 Billion by 2035’

by Pieter Werner

MarketsandMarkets estimates the global humanoid robot market at $5.41 billion in 2026 and projects it will reach $50.27 billion by 2035, representing a compound annual growth rate of 28.1% over the period. The research firm said demand is being supported by the use of humanoid robots in manufacturing, warehousing and distribution centers, healthcare, education, hospitality and entertainment, retail, public relations and personal assistance. Applications cited in the report include assembly support, material handling, inspection, patient assistance, interactive learning, customer engagement and facility operations.

MarketsandMarkets identified biped humanoid robots as the fastest-growing type segment, with projected growth of about 28% to 30% during the forecast period. The firm said biped systems are being developed for environments designed around human movement, including factories, warehouses, hospitals, stores, schools and public venues, where they may be used with limited infrastructure changes.

The hardware segment is expected to account for the largest share of the market in 2026, estimated at about 65% to 75%. MarketsandMarkets attributed this to demand for actuation systems, perception systems, compute and control systems, communication systems, power systems, structural frames, grippers and thermal management components. These components support robot mobility, manipulation, balance, dexterity and operating performance.

By application, manufacturing is projected to record the highest growth rate, at about 27% to 30% during the forecast period. The report links this growth to demand for flexible automation in repetitive and labor-intensive tasks, as well as advances in AI-enabled perception, motion planning, manipulation software, simulation tools and fleet management platforms.

Asia Pacific is expected to account for more than half of the global humanoid robot market throughout the forecast period. MarketsandMarkets cited robotics manufacturing ecosystems, investment in embodied AI and automation adoption in China, Japan, South Korea, India, Singapore and other regional markets as factors supporting the region’s market share.

Companies identified in the report include Unitree Robotics, AGIBOT Innovation, UBTECH Robotics, Leju Robotics, EngineAI Robotics, Tesla, ROBOTIS and Kawada Robotics.
