The Humanoids Summit, a global event series focused on humanoid robotics and Physical AI, will hold its first Seoul edition on September 22–23, 2026, at the COEX Convention Center. The announcement extends a series that began in Silicon Valley in 2024 and has since expanded to London and Tokyo.
The Summit launched in Silicon Valley in 2024 and returned there again in December of that year, before making its European debut in London in May 2025. Rocking Robots reported on that London edition , detailing an agenda built around dexterity, machine consciousness, open-source robotics, and reinforcement learning, with speakers drawn from organizations including the Shadow Robot Company, Google DeepMind, and the European Space Agency. That gathering drew a reported 1,000-plus attendees and helped establish the Summit as a recurring fixture for Europe’s humanoid robotics community.
The series then moved into Asia with a Tokyo edition earlier this year, which organizers say welcomed more than 2,000 attendees, close to 300 companies, and participants from over 30 countries, alongside live television coverage. Organizers describe Tokyo as a turning point that accelerated conversations around commercializing Physical AI.
Why Seoul
Seoul was selected as the Summit’s fifth global edition and its first in South Korea. Organizers point to the country’s combination of manufacturing capacity, robotics expertise, semiconductor production, and automotive and AI industries as reasons for choosing COEX, a major convention venue in the city, as the next stop.
The choice also reflects broader momentum for humanoid robotics in South Korea. Smart Factory & Automation World, held at the same COEX venue earlier this year, drew roughly 30,000 attendees and featured South Korean debuts of humanoid platforms including Agibot’s X2, Unitree’s G1, and Leju Robotics’ Kuavo. Seoul is also set to host the IEEE-RAS International Conference on Humanoid Robots in 2026, adding to a busy calendar of robotics events in the city.
What to Expect
As with previous editions, the Seoul Summit is expected to bring together founders, researchers, investors, manufacturers, and policymakers working across humanoid robotics and Physical AI, with sessions likely to cover manufacturing, commercialization, and capital allocation in the sector. Speaker and exhibitor applications for the event are currently open, as is early registration.
