Interpack 2026: FANUC to show packaging automation systems

by Pieter Werner

FANUC will use Interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf to present a range of robotics and automation systems for processing and packaging applications.  Its Interpack presentation will focus on automation across the production flow, from goods receipt and depalletising to process-integrated automation, packaging and palletising. The company said it will also show systems for downstream packaging tasks such as quality assurance.

One of the main points in the announcement is a software feature that allows FANUC’s CRX cobot to handle payloads of up to 40 kilograms. FANUC said this can increase throughput, for example by enabling multiple cartons to be picked in a single cycle, while keeping the collaborative robot suitable for space-constrained environments.

At the stand, visitors will also see demonstrations involving collaborative robots, vision systems and automated packaging cells for applications including high-speed sorting, flexible packaging and traceability. FANUC states that its robot portfolio includes more than 200 models with payload capacities of up to 2,300 kg.

The company is also targeting regulated and hygiene-sensitive sectors. In the release, FANUC refers to products for food, life sciences, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, including cleanroom robots and systems for processing, dispensing, labelling and packaging products in high volumes. It will also present its ROBOSHOT all-electric injection moulding machines as part of its packaging production portfolio.

Paul Ribus, Head of Sales Coordination at FANUC Europe, said: “Interpack is an ideal platform to demonstrate how FANUC’s automation solutions can boost productivity and sustainability in processing and packaging. We look forward to connecting with partners and customers and demonstrating how our technology can support their growth ambitions.”
