MBody AI Robots Move From Pilot to Paid Deployment at Casino

by Pieter Werner

MBody AI has wrapped up a proof-of-concept trial of its autonomous robots at Mohegan Sun, one of North America’s largest casino and entertainment resorts, and the robots have stayed on site under a paid commercial arrangement since the trial ended. Mohegan Sun, located in Uncasville, Connecticut, spans roughly 5.5 million square feet and includes 1,600 hotel rooms, two casinos, a 10,000-seat arena, and 275,000 square feet of meeting and convention space that runs continuously, year-round. According to the companies, Mohegan Sun now plans to scale up the number of robots on site through a multi-year subscription agreement later in 2026.

During the pilot, the robots were deployed in two high-traffic areas of the property: the gaming floor and the conference center. They ran through full day and evening shifts, taking on repetitive, time-sensitive tasks — freeing up Mohegan Sun’s human staff to focus on guest-facing work instead.

The rollout is coordinated through MBody AI’s Orchestrator platform, a hardware-agnostic system designed to manage fleets of robots from different manufacturers across multiple sites and use cases.

Mohegan Sun’s planned expansion would make it one of MBody AI’s largest single-property gaming deployments to date. The company has described the project as a template it intends to reuse as it moves into other properties, with the underlying goal of converting short-term pilots into standing, revenue-generating contracts.

Melissa Benoit, Mohegan Sun’s Director of Housekeeping and EVS, credited the technology with reshaping daily operations and said staff could now devote more attention to higher-value work. MBody AI CEO John Fowler said the pilot demonstrated the system could hold up in one of hospitality’s more demanding environments, and that the data gathered supports scaling the deployment further.
