NEURA Mobile Robots is acquiring 100 percent of ADLATUS Robotics, adding autonomous cleaning robots and related navigation technology to the NEURA Robotics group. Ulm-based ADLATUS develops autonomous cleaning and sweeping robots for industrial, logistics, healthcare, commercial and public environments.
According to the companies, several hundred ADLATUS systems are already deployed. The company also develops its own navigation software and provides services including project planning, commissioning, training and support.
NEURA plans to continue developing the ADLATUS platform with additional sensors and AI capabilities. The company also intends to connect the robots gradually to its Neuraverse platform, which is designed to combine AI models, sensor data and robotic capabilities across different machines.
The planned development includes enabling cleaning robots to identify different surfaces and types of dirt, interpret their surroundings and select cleaning strategies based on those conditions. Data from deployed systems is expected to support the development and validation of these capabilities.
David Reger, founder and CEO of NEURA Robotics, said the acquisition is intended to extend the capabilities of ADLATUS robots rather than simply add another cleaning platform to the company’s portfolio. “When a robot doesn’t just navigate its environment but understands what it sees, senses, and needs to do, an entirely new generation of machines emerges,” he said.
NEURA said ADLATUS will also serve as a test platform for its Physical AI technology. The company intends the Neuraverse to support robots from other manufacturers as well as systems within the NEURA group.
NEURA Mobile Robots Managing Director Andreas Lindemann said the company also plans to integrate ADLATUS solutions into its Fleet Manager software. Over the longer term, NEURA intends to develop autonomous cleaning as a separate product family within its autonomous mobile robot portfolio.
The acquisition follows an existing relationship between the two companies. NEURA Robotics and ADLATUS have worked together under a strategic partnership since September 2025 and presented their collaboration publicly at the CMS trade fair in Berlin.
ADLATUS brings its installed customer base, cleaning application expertise and customer relationships to NEURA. NEURA said it will provide manufacturing resources, an international sales structure and access to its wider robotics and AI technology platform.
