NomadGo and Richtech Robotics to Develop Autonomous Inventory Robots

by Pieter Werner

NomadGo, a Redmond, Washington-based company specializing in inventory artificial intelligence, has announced a collaboration with Richtech Robotics, a Nevada-based developer of AI-driven service robots. The partnership aims to integrate NomadGo’s Inventory AI technology with Richtech’s robotic systems to automate the entire inventory management process, from counting and ordering to delivery validation and restocking.

Under the collaboration, Richtech’s mobile robot, Dex, will be equipped with NomadGo’s Inventory AI platform. The software uses 3D spatial intelligence, computer vision, and augmented reality to create a live digital model of shelves and products, enabling automated inventory counting and monitoring. Dex will use onboard cameras and sensors to capture and process this data, allowing it to navigate and operate independently in various retail or warehouse environments.

According to the companies, the integration is intended to create a closed-loop inventory system. The process would include automated counting with precise measurement of remaining shelf capacity, real-time ordering when stock levels decrease, delivery verification upon receipt, and autonomous restocking guided by spatial data.

David Greschler, chief executive of NomadGo, said that combining Inventory AI with robotics represents a step toward fully autonomous inventory management, allowing businesses to reallocate staff to customer-facing activities.

NomadGo’s Inventory AI system is already in use across more than 11,000 Starbucks locations, where it has been applied to monitor inventory and improve supply chain visibility.
