Pudu Robotics has announced the release of the PUDU CC1 Pro, an AI-powered autonomous cleaning robot designed for use in large-scale commercial environments. The launch builds on the company’s previous PUDU CC1 model, integrating advanced artificial intelligence to enhance the automation and adaptability of cleaning operations.
According to the company, the PUDU CC1 Pro operates as a fully autonomous, closed-loop cleaning system. It incorporates AI capabilities that allow the robot to detect liquid stains, assess floor cleanliness and material, adjust its cleaning methods accordingly, and verify the results of its cleaning tasks. The robot is also capable of monitoring the status of its own components, aiming to reduce downtime and improve reliability. The CC1 Pro’s effective cleaning range per operation spans between 5,000 and 8,000 square meters, targeting applications in commercial settings such as retail facilities, healthcare institutions, transportation hubs, and industrial warehouses.
Among the notable updates, the CC1 Pro includes what Pudu Robotics states is the first rear-mounted AI camera in a commercial cleaning robot. This feature allows the machine to detect residual stains and automatically revisit areas requiring further attention. It also generates heat maps that visualize the effectiveness of cleaning operations, intended to support facility managers in identifying persistent problem areas.
The device’s AI-driven adaptive cleaning system modulates its cleaning mode depending on floor conditions and material. It can switch between vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, and dust-mopping based on detected surface type and soil levels. In addition, its spot scrubbing feature uses visual recognition to isolate and clean localized dirt or liquid, and produces visual data on debris patterns across the cleaning area.
Self-monitoring features allow the robot to evaluate the condition of components such as brushes and squeegees. The robot can detect contamination or wear that might lead to reduced cleaning quality, and either initiate corrective action or notify human staff.
The CC1 Pro navigates using Pudu Robotics’ proprietary PUDU VSLAM+ system, which combines Visual SLAM and Lidar SLAM technologies. This navigation system enables the robot to operate in dynamic environments without relying on external markers, adjusting to real-time layout changes and moving obstacles.
Operational data including task performance, maintenance frequency, and debris distribution is made available through dashboards and heat maps, aimed at supporting fleet management and operational planning.
The hardware of the CC1 Pro has also been updated for improved durability. The unit includes optional self-cleaning brushes, a contour-adaptive brush chamber, and high-durability filters. The model is certified under IEC 63327 standards for safety and operational performance.
The company positions the PUDU CC1 Pro as a tool for automating routine cleaning tasks while providing data visibility and system integration capabilities for facility management teams.
