Pudu Robotics has launched the PUDU ET1, a compact autonomous scrubber-dryer designed for commercial spaces ranging from 100 to 800 square metres, including convenience stores, pharmacies, restaurants, hotels and offices. The ET1 is the first product in the company’s new PUDU E Series and is designed to operate in smaller commercial environments where space can limit the use of larger cleaning robots. The machine combines scrubbing, sweeping, vacuuming and dust-mopping functions.
The robot uses a front-sweep and rear-scrub configuration intended to collect dry debris and clean wet stains in a single pass. Its scrubbing roller operates at speeds of up to 800 revolutions per minute, while the vacuum system provides suction of up to 20 kPa. The ET1 also supports hot-water scrubbing at temperatures of up to 85°C, with hot water supplied by its docking station and maintained during operation.
A real-time roller-cleaning system is designed to reduce dirt accumulation on the cleaning roller. The robot also recovers wastewater during cleaning to limit residual moisture on floors.
The ET1 is paired with an automated docking station that handles charging, clean-water refilling, wastewater drainage, detergent dispensing, roller and squeegee rinsing, roller spin-drying and water heating. After completing a cleaning task, the robot can return to the docking station for a self-cleaning cycle. An automatic dust-collection system transfers collected dust, hair and other debris from the robot after cleaning.
Pudu has equipped the ET1 with its AI Magic Cleaning system, which combines perception, motion control and cleaning functions. The system supports autonomous mapping, stain recognition, cleaning heatmaps and adaptive cleaning based on detected floor conditions.
The robot can identify carpet edges and lift its scrubbing roller to avoid wetting carpeted surfaces. When it detects liquid spills, it can lift its sweeping and side brushes to avoid spreading the liquid. For stains requiring additional cleaning, the system can reduce travel speed while increasing roller speed and water output.
For deployment, the ET1 provides automatic mapping and a one-click start function, as well as separate operating modes for managers and daily users. The system includes built-in operating guidance and maintenance reminders, while modular cleaning components can be removed for cleaning and servicing.
The robot requires a minimum clearance of 50 centimetres in width and 60 centimetres in height, allowing it to operate in narrow aisles and under some low-clearance fixtures. It also includes edge-cleaning functions for areas along walls, shelves and corners.
An optional 21.5-inch display can be fitted to the ET1 for advertising and other in-store content. The display supports cloud-based content management, and the robot can also be fitted with customised exterior wraps.
The ET1 expands Pudu Robotics’ commercial cleaning range alongside its CC1, MT1 and BG1 series, with the company targeting cleaning applications ranging from small retail locations to supermarkets, offices, warehouses and larger commercial facilities. Pudu cited a 2025 Frost & Sullivan market research report that ranked the company first globally by commercial cleaning robotics revenue, with a 29% market share.
