Realbotix and 10Things to Debut Voice-Controlled Robot at Humanoid Summit

by Marco van der Hoeven

Realbotix, specializing in AI-driven humanoid robotics, has announced a partnership with 10Things, a developer of language-to-action AI systems, to present a joint demonstration at the upcoming Humanoid Summit in London, scheduled for May 29–30. Rocking Robots will be reporting on site next week.

The collaboration will highlight a humanoid robot from Realbotix integrated with robotic arms developed by 10Things. The combined system is designed to respond to natural voice commands to perform a range of real-time tasks such as operating a tablet, grasping objects, and handling basic tools.

According to the companies, the system operates without the need for manual input or mobile applications, relying instead on verbal interaction. It is intended to carry out everyday actions, including tidying surfaces and interacting with touchscreens, with an emphasis on accessibility for users with limited mobility. The system is designed to adapt over time by learning user preferences and routines. It also supports multi-user environments by recognizing and responding to individual household members. Prior to live deployment, all functions are tested in simulated environments to meet safety requirements.

Realbotix CEO Andrew Kiguel stated that the initiative aims to demonstrate how AI-enabled humanoid systems can assist with household tasks by combining conversational capabilities with physical task execution. Kimate Richards, CEO of 10Things, added that the collaboration will emphasize safety, privacy, and reliability, with a focus on creating human-centered robotic platforms that incorporate generative AI technologies while safeguarding user data.
