Rebl Industries To Install AI-Powered Warehouse Robots at H&M and IKEA

by Pieter Werner

Swedish robotics company Rebl Industries has signed framework agreements with H&M GBC AB and IKEA Svenska AB to deploy its AI-powered Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) solutions across their logistics operations.  Rebl’s robotic systems, designed for tasks such as sorting, palletizing, and depalletizing, have been used in production environments for several years. The robots are delivered as a performance-based service, eliminating the need for significant upfront investment in hardware.

H&M has been using Rebl’s robots since summer 2024 in one of its e-commerce distribution centers in Sweden. According to the company, the deployment has contributed to improved operational efficiency and predictability. Additional sites are expected to follow. To support its expansion efforts, Rebl Industries has appointed Nicholas Tengelin as its new CEO. He is the company’s first external chief executive and brings executive experience from Volvo Cars, Hedin Mobility Group, and Hogia. Tengelin is tasked with scaling and industrializing Rebl’s operations.

Rebl’s proprietary robots combine AI, advanced sensors, and software to identify, pick, move, and load goods of various sizes and packaging formats in real time. The robots are part of a shared neural network that enables continuous learning and performance improvement. Founded in 2018, Rebl Industries is headquartered in Gothenburg, with operations in Borås and Skövde. Since 2021, the company has been backed by privately held Swedish technology group Pulsen.
