Riibotics announced plans to present its “brownfield robotic ” technology at RoboBusiness 2025, scheduled at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California. The company’s system is designed to automate material handling in existing warehouses and manufacturing facilities without requiring new infrastructure or structural changes.
Riibotics refers to its approach as “brownfield robotics,” contrasting it with “greenfield” automation, which typically requires facilities to be purpose-built for robotics integration. The company’s autonomous forklifts use artificial intelligence and perception systems to operate in unstructured and dynamic industrial environments, managing materials in spaces shared with human workers.
According to Riibotics CEO Seungmin Baek, the technology is intended to support facilities that cannot afford major reconfiguration for automation. He said the forklifts integrate into existing workflows while enabling productivity improvements.
The company has tested its system in a commercial project with a Tier 1 automotive supplier, where autonomous forklifts transported materials in a human-shared setting without using magnetic tapes or QR codes. Riibotics reported that the deployment achieved a payback period of under one year, and that the customer is expanding use of the system following initial results.
RoboBusiness will also mark the beginning of Riibotics’ expansion into the U.S. market. The company plans to participate in several industry events in 2026, including RILA LINK, Manifest, and Modex, as it pursues partnerships and customers in intralogistics applications such as pallet transport and cross-docking.
Riibotics develops autonomous forklift systems for industrial environments and is supported by the South Korean Deep-tech TIPS program. The company has received recognition at startup competitions including Try Everything and the KDB Startup Program.
