Robots at CES 2026

Robotics is one of the main themes at CES 2026, where a wide range of companies are showing how robots are moving closer to everyday use. Across the show floor, robots appear not just as experimental concepts, but as systems aimed at homes, services and interaction with people. CES, organised by Consumer Technology Association, once again positions robotics alongside artificial intelligence and connected systems as part of the broader shift toward embodied and physical AI.

Several consumer electronics companies are using CES to show how robotics fits into their longer-term product strategies. LG Electronics is presenting its CLOiD home robot, a mobile system with arms designed to move around the house and support everyday tasks such as picking up objects, handling clothing and assisting with basic food preparation. The robot reflects LG’s vision of reducing manual household work through a combination of robotics, AI and smart home integration.

Home automation specialist SwitchBot is also showing a humanoid-style household robot called Onero H1. The robot combines a mobile base with arms and hands and is designed to interact with existing household objects rather than requiring a specially adapted environment. SwitchBot positions the system as an extension of its broader smart home ecosystem, focusing on practical interaction rather than full autonomy.

Robotics at CES 2026 is not limited to large consumer brands. The show also features smaller companies exploring robotic companionship and niche applications. Frontier-X is demonstrating Vex, a small mobile robot designed to follow pets and record video using onboard AI. Tombot is showing a robotic puppy aimed at companionship and emotional interaction, highlighting how robotic pets continue to attract interest alongside more functional machines.

Exhibitor Examples: Auria Robotics Inc., Booster Robotics Technology Co. Ltd, Doosan, Dreame Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., IntBot, Richtech Robotics, Sweet Robo LLC, Tombot, Inc., VenHub Global, WIRobotics, YuShu Technology Co., Ltd. (Unitree)

Larger technology companies are also using CES as a platform to support robotics startups. Samsung Electronics is bringing several robotics-focused teams to the show through its C-Lab innovation program, underlining how corporate incubators are being used to explore new robotic concepts outside traditional product lines.

Booster T1 is a full-scale humanoid built for advanced AI and robotics research, featuring high onboard compute (NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin), advanced locomotion, and optional dexterous hands for complex manipulation — aimed at universities, labs, and embodied-AI development. Booster K1 is a more compact, portable humanoid designed for education and accessible research, with configurable compute options, strong walking and interaction capabilities, and proven performance in RoboCup KidSize competitions.

The robots on display at CES 2026 illustrate a broader shift in the sector. Rather than focusing solely on industrial automation or research demos, many companies are now targeting environments where robots must coexist with people, adapt to unstructured settings and perform a range of tasks. The emphasis is less on spectacle and more on usability, interaction and integration with existing digital systems.
