Skild AI acquires Zebra Technologies warehouse robotics unit

by Pieter Werner

Skild AI has acquired Zebra Technologies’ robotics automation business, including the Symmetry Fulfillment orchestration platform, in a deal aimed at expanding its warehouse automation offering. The acquisition combines Skild AI’s robotics software with Zebra’s fleet orchestration system for warehouse operations.

According to the companies’ description of the business, Symmetry is used to coordinate robots and frontline workers in warehouse environments, while Skild AI’s “Skild Brain” software is designed to operate across different robot types and tasks. Skild AI said the combined platform is intended to support deployment and management of robot fleets at enterprise scale in logistics facilities.

The transaction positions Skild AI to offer a broader warehouse automation stack spanning orchestration software and multiple categories of robots, including mobile systems and robotic arms. Skild AI said the combined business will focus on end-to-end warehouse deployments rather than task-specific automation.

Skild AI, founded in 2023, said it had grown to about $30 million in revenue within a few months in 2025. The company also said it is backed by investors including SoftBank Group, NVIDIA Ventures, Macquarie Capital-managed entities, Jeff Bezos, Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed, Coatue and Felicis, and that it is valued at more than $14 billion. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
