SPS: Delta to Unveil the Delta D-Bot Robotics Platform

by Marco van der Hoeven

Delta plans to present its D-Bot Robotics Platform at the SPS 2025 trade fair in Nuremberg. According to the company, the platform is designed for factory automation in production, logistics and assembly environments and is built on a unified system architecture. Delta states that the platform incorporates NVIDIA Omniverse libraries and the open-source NVIDIA Isaac Sim robotics simulation framework to support virtual design, testing and validation of automation systems.

Michael Mayer-Rosa, Head of Intelligent Robot System and Senior Director of the Industrial Automation Business Group at Delta Electronics EMEA, said the company is consolidating its robotics activities within the D-Bot platform and will demonstrate the Cobot’s integration with NVIDIA Omniverse at the event.

Delta also introduces the Cognibot-Kit, an add-on for the D-Bot Series intended to support voice commands, gesture control and contextual interaction. The system uses the Power AI Box, an edge computing module for local data processing, and is connected to a cloud environment referred to by the company as the Neuraverse, which enables continuous updates of functions.

The company states that the digital twin capabilities enabled through NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim allow engineers to simulate robotic processes with physics-based models before on-site deployment. Delta reports that this approach can reduce commissioning time, development effort and adjustments during installation. Demonstrations at SPS 2025 are planned to show workflows described as “Real-to-Sim and Sim-to-Real”.

Delta is expanding the platform with radar-based safety technology provided by Waveye. The imaging radar is designed to identify human presence and distinguish between people and machines to enable automated intervention before contact occurs. Delta states that the system can be integrated into existing safety setups within the D-Bot family and is intended for workplaces where human-robot interaction is required.
