UBTECH has begun mass production and delivery of its Walker S2 humanoid robot, marking the initial rollout of several hundred units for industrial use. The company plans to deliver 500 units within the year. The robots are intended for deployment across automotive manufacturing, smart factories, logistics operations and data collection centers.
According to the company, the Walker S2 is integrated with UBTECH’s Co-Agent system, which provides functions such as intention recognition, task planning, tool use and autonomous anomaly detection. UBTECH also offers its robots through a turnkey model supported by its BrainNet technology platform, designed to enable rapid deployment in different industrial settings.
UBTECH reported that orders for its Walker series robots placed since early 2025 have exceeded 800 million yuan. Recent contracts include a 159 million yuan agreement for deployment at a data collection center in Zigong and a 250 million yuan order signed in September. The company works with clients in the automotive and manufacturing sectors, including BYD, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, Geely Auto, FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao, Audi FAW, BAIC New Energy, Foxconn and SF Express.
The company stated that it is expanding production capacity, with a target of 5,000 units annually by 2026 and 10,000 units by 2027. UBTECH said that data gathered from operational deployments is being used to refine product performance and support the development of swarm-intelligence capabilities.
