The AI for Good Global Summit 2025, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), is scheduled to take place from 8 to 11 July at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. This annual event, supported by over 50 United Nations partners and co-hosted with the Swiss federal government, aims to address global AI governance and foster innovation for societal benefit.
The summit will feature over 100 demonstrations of AI technologies aimed at improving healthcare, education, disaster risk management, food and water security, and economic stability. The event focuses on building technical expertise among stakeholders including policymakers, industry leaders, and professionals, with a particular emphasis on capacity building in developing countries.
Participants from government, industry, academia, and civil society will attend. Confirmed speakers include ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin; Estonian President Alar Karis; AI researchers Geoffrey Hinton, Yoshua Bengio, and Yann LeCun; Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff; Signal President Meredith Whittaker; Amazon CTO Werner Vogels; Sony AI CEO Hiroaki Kitano; and Meta AI Chief Scientist Yann LeCun, among others. Additional speakers represent organizations such as Universal Music Group, Alibaba Group, Mozilla Foundation, and Tsinghua University.
The summit will run concurrently with the WSIS+20 High-Level Event 2025, which seeks to further global cooperation in digital development.
