These systems use machine learning, computer vision and real-time analytics to assign tasks, calculate picking routes and coordinate robots and warehouse workers.

Cloud-based and software-as-a-service deployments represent the largest segment by deployment model. The research firm attributed adoption to centralized visibility across multiple facilities and lower internal technology requirements. Robotics-as-a-service models are also being used to extend warehouse automation to mid-sized operators.
Software for autonomous mobile robots holds the largest share by robot type, while systems supporting sortation equipment and automated storage and retrieval systems are expanding. The increasing use of multiple robot types within individual facilities is also creating demand for software capable of coordinating equipment from different vendors.
E-commerce and retail fulfillment companies are the largest end-user group. Third-party logistics providers are expected to record the fastest growth as they deploy automation platforms across facilities serving multiple customers.
Asia-Pacific is expected to lead warehouse robotics software installations during the forecast period, supported by warehouse automation activity in China, Japan, South Korea and India. MarketsandMarkets said new warehouse robot installations in China increased by 44% in 2024. North America is expected to hold the largest share of software revenue, estimated at 25.1%. The broader US warehouse robotics market is projected to reach $3.1 billion by 2030.
