Humanoid Robot Forum Set for October 7

by Pieter Werner

The Association for Advancing Automation (A3) has announced the Humanoid Robot Forum, an event dedicated to the exploration of the latest technology and applications in humanoid robots. The forum is set to take place on October 7 at the Renasant Convention Center in Memphis, Tennessee. This initiative marks the first humanoid robot forum by the industry, designed to coincide with the Autonomous Mobile Robots & Logistics Conference, also hosted by A3 from October 8-10 at the same venue.

Jeff Burnstein, president of A3, emphasized the relevance of the forum given the recent advancements in humanoid robot technology. He outlined that the discussions will focus on the current state of the technology, its applications in logistics and manufacturing, and its potential future roles in both industry and everyday life. The event aims to cover various facets of humanoid robotics, including artificial intelligence, machine vision, and motion control, with a strong emphasis on safety in humanoid robot applications.

Keynote speakers for the forum include Melonee Wise, Chief Product Officer at Agility Robotics, and Jeffrey Cardenas, CEO of Apptronik. The complete list of speakers is expected to be revealed this summer. The event will also provide opportunities for professionals to engage as speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, or attendees.

Additionally, A3 is set to host a panel discussion on humanoid robots during the Automate 2024 event on May 8 in Chicago, where over 800 companies will showcase their robotics and automation products. This session, which is free to attend, will be part of a larger exhibition, further highlighting the increasing integration of robotics into various sectors.
