This AMR has been designed to move payloads up to 1,200 kg (2,640 lb) with a focus on safety. With its patented adaptive fieldset technology, the OTTO 1200 can effectively maneuver around obstacles, including people, especially in areas with limited space.

Hamburg-based intralogistics pioneer Jungheinrich is fully taking over Magazino, a Munich-based robotics specialist. In addition to its shareholding, which has existed since 2020 and was increased to 21.7 percent in 2022, Jungheinrich is acquiring all shares held by the founders as well as the previous co-shareholders, a.o. Cellcom, Fiege Logistik, and Körber.

Hawle Armaturen GmbH, a manufacturer of heavy-duty valves for municipal water and sewage management, as well as gas supply, has awarded Jungheinrich with the construction of a new logistics warehouse. The company will build a fully automated high-bay warehouse with over 15,000 storage locations and five aisles near Hawle’s headquarters in Freilassing, Germany, by October 2024. The warehouse, planned as a greenfield project, will replace Hawle’s former manual distribution center.

Hai Robotics, provider of intelligent automated warehousing solutions, has won the MHI Innovation Award for Best Innovation of an Existing Product for their A42T Autonomous Case-handling Robot (ACR). This award was announced at ProMat 2023, held in Chicago.

Swedish online pharmacy Apotea has fully automated its logistics center. The company can now ship more than 50,000 orders to customers per day. For the first time, the entire process has been integrated and for the first time worldwide, the eOperator, a robot for piece-picking, has been included in the AutoStore application. This is the result of an international collaboration between Element Logic, AutoStore, RightHand Robotics and Apotea.
