Hithium’s manufacturing plant in Texas has begun mass production and deliveries after installing an integrated production and logistics system supplied by Zhejiang Guozi Robotics. According to the company, the 480,000-square-foot facility represents an investment of about 200 million dollars and is planned to support an annual output of 10 GWh of battery modules and systems.
Guozi Robotics delivered more than one hundred logistics robots to the site, including reach-truck automated guided vehicles, mini-stacker units, underride lifting robots, and heavy-duty transport models. The company also supplied racking systems, buffer racks, overhead cranes, and automatic doors, and carried out equipment-linkage upgrades across the facility.
The reach-truck AGV uses a navigation system that combines vision and LiDAR. Guozi reports that it can carry up to 1.2 tons, reach lifting heights of 7 meters, and dock with storage locations at an accuracy of plus or minus 10 millimeters. It is designed to connect automatically with material carts, fixture carts, and production-line machinery for line-side distribution and in-line assembly tasks. The heavy-duty transport robot is described as having a 60-ton load capacity and similar positioning accuracy. All robots supplied for the project have received UL certification.
Guozi Robotics stated that it applied an integrated delivery model for the project. Under this approach, logistics robots, equipment, production lines, and docking systems were jointly tested and debugged in China before shipment. The company reports that the full logistics system, along with partners’ module, PACK, and containerized cabin production lines, was shipped as a complete unit for installation in Texas. Guozi characterizes this method as reducing the implementation timeline by about 30 percent compared with comparable projects.
Guozi Robotics began expanding internationally in 2016 and reports operations across regions in North America, South America, Europe, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia, with deployments in sectors including e-commerce, automotive manufacturing, construction machinery, and retail.
