A team led by the University of California San Diego has developed a new system of algorithms that enables four-legged robots to walk and run on challenging terrain while avoiding both static and moving obstacles.

Guidance Automation has partnered with Yantra to upgrade their vehicle navigation options to include ‘natural feature’ navigation. Mapping algorithms enable the robots to navigate by reference to existing features within the working environment. No navigation marks are needed.
