The New York City Police Department (NYPD) has signed a contract with Knightscope, a company that produces autonomous robots for public safety purposes. Mayor Eric Adams and Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell announced the plans to implement new technologies to enhance the safety of the city’s citizens at a press conference in Times Square.
