OTTO Motors announced the release of OTTO 1200, an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) geared for material handling in confined areas. This AMR has been designed to move payloads up to 1,200 kg (2,640 lb) with a focus on safety. With its patented adaptive fieldset technology, the OTTO 1200 can effectively maneuver around obstacles, including people, especially in areas with limited space.

Mujin, a company specializing in intelligent robotics for manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain, has secured $85 million in its latest Series C funding round. The investment effort was spearheaded by Japan’s SBI Investment Co., Ltd. Other contributors include Silicon Valley’s Pegasus Tech Ventures, 7 Industries of the Netherlands, corporate investor Accenture, and angel investor Dr. James Kuffner.

Hamburg-based intralogistics pioneer Jungheinrich is fully taking over Magazino, a Munich-based robotics specialist. In addition to its shareholding, which has existed since 2020 and was increased to 21.7 percent in 2022, Jungheinrich is acquiring all shares held by the founders as well as the previous co-shareholders, a.o. Cellcom, Fiege Logistik, and Körber.

Hawle Armaturen GmbH, a manufacturer of heavy-duty valves for municipal water and sewage management, as well as gas supply, has awarded Jungheinrich with the construction of a new logistics warehouse. The company will build a fully automated high-bay warehouse with over 15,000 storage locations and five aisles near Hawle’s headquarters in Freilassing, Germany, by October 2024. The warehouse, planned as a greenfield project, will replace Hawle’s former manual distribution center.
